Big Chief Creative Media’s Humorous Egg Ad Beats Out The Competition For 2022 MUSE Creative Award
Big Chief Creative Media recently took highest honors in Season 2 of the 2022 MUSE Creative Awards, bringing home the Platinum for their authorship of an internet ad titled “Special Delivery.”
The MUSE Awards are a series of competitions hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA), an organization that continuously strives to honor creatives and designers for excellence. Leading industry professionals from around the globe serve as the competition’s jury, upholding IAA’s uncompromising standards of merit and impartiality.
“The IAA team was caught off-guard by the works submitted for the second season of 2022’s MUSE Awards,” said Thomas Brandt, IAA spokesperson. “These entries were truly astounding, and they certainly bring the level of competition up a notch. It’s amazing, as always, to witness great works lined up in the competition. The team is absolutely in awe of the level of creativity and ingenuity that is in the industry.”
Big Chief Creative Media’s winning ad tells a humorous story with a surprising plot twist. Lured by a “Come on in!” sign and a table full of delicious treats, a curious delivery driver wanders into a gender reveal party just as it reaches its climax. Viewers then witness his outrageous “wanna get away” moment! (See the full ad here.)
According to Big Chief Founder, Alex Ribble; “We had a blast writing and producing this piece for Chino Valley. I’ve always been a big fan of the ‘Got Milk?’ commercials from the 1990’s — especially ‘Aaron Burr,’ which was the original in the series directed by Michael Bay, just after he graduated from Art Center College of Design. I suppose this piece was an ode to that one, in a way. Similar energy.”
He continued, “We had a terrific crew and an amazingly talented group of actors, including Abbie Jenkins and Jack Austin Springer, who knocked it out of the park. Our director, Tyler Wolff, built an amazing world for us, and we were happy to have Chris Nichols and David Will from Chino Valley on set with us to be a part of the creative process.”
Chino Valley’s Chris Nichols explained why he and his company enjoy working with Big Chief Creative Media. “As a family-owned business for three generations, we like to think of ourselves as a pretty fun group. We want our marketing to be fun too. Big Chief continues to supply us with these really incredible original ideas no one in our industry has done, and we like that.”
This is not the first time Ribble has created unconventional content to promote the Chino Valley’s product. Last year, he wrote “The Boxer,” an ad featuring fitness superstar/Onnit athlete Eric Leija in a pun-laden “fight night” scenario with a comical surprise ending. The campaign was a smashing success, with more than 2 million views worldwide.
There is an old adage that says you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. But Ribble and Big Chief Creative Media have proven that breaking convention to sell sustainably farmed eggs yields satisfying results.
